Overview

Our inclusion classes are aimed at transitioning students with a physical or intellectual disability into mainstream lessons. There are two types of classes offered:

  1. Capped group classes. Offered in our mainstream program. The classes are capped at a reduced number to ensure all students are receiving equal attention. Please ensure you are alerting Swim School Reception when enrolling of existing medical conditions so the teacher can be informed and prepare accordingly.
  2. Private lessons. We strongly encourage students to enter group lessons rather than private lessons if they are high functioning, as this helps the student’s social skills. If your child is unable to attend group lessons, 1:1 classes will help keep your child concentrating and developing their swimming and water safety skills. A doctor’s certificate may be required to prove the child’s disability will impact theirs or other students learning if requesting a private lesson.

Level Progression

  • Capped group classes and private lessons work to the same program as our mainstream lessons.

  • Once the student reaches squad level they will have the option to enter multi-class squad or our competitive squads.
