Infant Learn to Swim Program

Learn to Swim Box Hill:  Infant and Toddler Swimming Lessons

Located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, we offer swimming lessons for infants and toddlers aged between 6 months and 3 years at Aqualink Box Hill and our mineral based salt water pool at Blackburn Learn to Swim Centre.
Guided by our specially trained instructors, you will learn to gently and safely introduce your child to water. Our instructors will not force development on them, but rather nurture confidence through fun songs and activities so as your child’s self-assurance grows. You will help them learn swimming skills such as breath control and propulsion.
Offered 7 days a week, your 30-minute class provides a great opportunity for mum, dad, nan or pa to spend special one-on-one time bonding with the child.

Early Childhood Development and Learning to Swim

Research has shown that the importance of swimming lessons at this age transcends past water safety.
Did you know children who undertake lessons from an early age are, on average, 6 to 15 months ahead of non-swimmers when it comes to solving math problems, counting, language and following instructions?
Learning to swim at this early age has children well ahead in many skills and processes they will apply once at school.
As your child transitions into pre-school the academic and social skills gained from lessons is truly beneficial.

Pre School Learn to Swim Classes

When my grandson first started lessons he was very hesitant to enter the water. The team were so encouraging and patient and now you can’t stop him in the water. He loves his lessons and the improvement is amazing. Just love watching his confidence grow each week. Thank you to everyone

LesleyWhat our customers are saying

The swimming teachers are always patient, reduce any fears the young children may have and build a fantastic rapport with the kids. Would definitely recommend for those looking to start their young children swimming. My daughter wouldn't go near a pool until we started lessons here
