Club swimming is a great opportunity for your child to become a confident and capable swimmer, building the stamina and endurance needed to be a stronger and safer swimmer for life. Surrey Park Swimming is a top 3 high performance swimming club in Victoria and the best choice for your child, where they are not just a number, but an athlete with individual goals and aspirations.
Surrey Park Swimming promotes lifelong swimming, with a dedicated Masters section where swimmers can progress into. At Surrey Park our swimmers don't stop swimming, they adapt to masters swimming where friendship and mateship form a bigger part of the swimming journey.

Our not-for-profit swimming club was established in 1904 at Surrey Dive in Box Hill. We are one of the largest and oldest swim clubs in Austalia. We have produced many talented swimmers who have achieved State, National, and International success, in addition to producing some outstanding members of society who have benefited our community, Australia, and the world. Our aim is to provide a positive club culture, cultivate friendships, and provide the best club environment for swimmers to reach their goals, and as a lifelong pursuit.

Squad levels

Surrey Park’s squads are structured to cater for swimmers of all ages, levels and ability. There is a pathway for each swimmer, when ready, to progress to the next appropriate squad. Progression within the Club squad program is at the discretion of the squad coach and will be discussed with both swimmers and parents (for junior swimmers).

Group

Junior Advanced

Age Range: Up to 13 years old
Swimmers progressing in their competitive career and attending their first championship meets.

Required training equipment: Swimmer’s Snorkel, Pull Buoy, Kick Board (standard size), Fins (DMC Brand) in Mesh Gear Bag, Drink Bottle (600ml minimum, strictly no glass), NAVY Surrey Park Swim Cap

Age Range: Up to 13 years old

Swimmers becoming more comfortable in training and beginning to push themselves.

State Performance

Age Range: 13 to 17 Years
  • Refinement of skills in all strokes whilst building upon energy systems for long term athlete development
  • Training to successfully perform at State Championship level 
  • Target is National Age qualifying times
  • 7 sessions per week incorporating dryland and two gym sessions
  • Swimmers are required to have joined as a Surrey Park Swim Club Swimmer member via Swim Central

Required training equipment: Snorkel, Pull Buoy, Kick Board (standard size), Fins (DMC), Pull Band, Small and Large Paddles, all in Mesh Gear Bag. 2 Large Drink Bottles (600ml minimum), NAVY Surrey Park Swim Cap.

  • Qualified for Victorian Age SC and LC Championships

Important info

Key information all club members must be aware of regarding uniforms, entering swim meets and more

Each swimmer (or their family) is responsible for submitting their own entries.

All swim meet entries are completed online through Swim Central.

For external swim meets, visit the calendar of events on the Swimming Victoria website.

Please note: many meets reach capacity well before the official closing date, so we strongly recommend entering early to secure a spot.

Training uniform
During training sessions, swimmers should wear the navy Surrey Park logo cap.

Swim meets
All Surrey Park swimmers are expected to wear the Club uniform when attending swim meets, including:

  • Surrey Park polo (navy blue)
  • Surrey Park Shorts or track pants (navy blue)
  • Surrey Park logo swim cap (navy blue)

For national or state championships, swimmers must also have: 

  • Surrey Park Jacket
  • Surrey Park Shorts or track pants (navy blue)

Shop
Uniforms and merchandise can be ordered online via our shop.
Please allow up to 48 hours for orders to be processed. Once ready, you’ll receive an email confirming collection from Surrey Park Reception at Aqualink Box Hill (preferably before 3 pm on weekdays).

Squad Coaching fees are paid by direct debit from your nominated bank account.
