Experience Junior Squad at Surrey Park Swimming These School Holidays

Is your child a confident swimmer who’s ready to experience squad swimming?

This September school holidays, Surrey Park Swimming is inviting young swimmers to join us for a FREE Junior Squad Experience at our Blackburn centre.

The session is open to eligible Surrey Park swimmers and swimmers currently training at other swim schools or swimming clubs who would like to experience the Surrey Park squad environment.

What is Junior Squad?

Junior Squad is Surrey Park Swimming’s first squad and an important step in our swimming pathway.

It’s where swimmers build on their existing swimming skills while being introduced to structured training, racing and competition.

Our Junior Squad focuses on:

• Developing technique across all four strokes
• Building race skills
• Introducing swimmers to structured squad training
• Developing confidence in a competitive swimming environment
• Supporting a lifelong enjoyment of swimming

It’s about helping young swimmers make progress while keeping training positive, supportive and enjoyable.

Come and experience a Surrey Park training session

Our Junior Squad Experience gives swimmers the opportunity to see what squad swimming at Surrey Park is really like before taking the next step.

The session will be led by Surrey Park Senior Coach Matt Burns.

Swimmers will take part in a Junior Squad-style training session, work on their skills and technique, and experience coaching within our squad environment.

For parents, it’s also a great opportunity to learn more about Surrey Park Swimming and our competitive swimming pathway.

You don’t need to currently swim with Surrey Park to take part.

If your child is training with another swim school or swimming club and you’re interested in what Surrey Park can offer, we’d love to welcome you.
