Well done to all those Surrey Park swimmers who competed in Metro East’s District Championships, the final and largest meet on the District calendar for the swimming season.
This was a full day meet held in the outdoor pool at Monash Aquatic and Recreation Centre on Sunday 5th March. The day started with a bit of rain, but things soon fined up and the sun was out by lunchtime.
Overall there was some great competition with many PBs swum by Surrey Park members and a number of individual medallists both A grade and B grade.

The relays run in the middle of the program generated great team spirit. These were very well supported and the competition between participating teams was strong.
Surrey Park won one of the premier events, the Men’s Friendship (Open 4X100 Freestyle) Relay. Team members were Matt Burns, Morgan Morffew, Sam Li and Jonty Pote, pictured with the perpetual trophy.
