We offer a progressive learn-to-swim program for ages 3 to 12 years at various locations across Melbourne. Our 8-level program emphasizes correct stroke technique, enabling your child to improve as swimmers or pursue competitive swimming. We prioritize nurturing, engaging, and fun learning environments. Small class sizes provide focused learning with individualized attention and feedback. Join the Surrey Park family and give your child a vital life skill.

  • We prioritise fun, and provide a nurturing and positive environment for your child
  • Lead instructors on pool deck continually assess your child’s progress throughout the term and update your child’s skill profile on our app to keep you informed
  • Our extra teachers on weeknights and weekends move between classes and provide extra assistance where needed

Our skills criteria include targeted water safety training, where real-life scenarios are simulated and valuable survival techniques are taught. Teaching children not only how to survive but also how to rescue in and around water is a vital life skill they will retain forever.

  • 30 minutes per lesson
  • Pre School Classes (3 to 5 years): 4 students per class maximum
  • School Age Classes (5 years +): 4 to 6 students per class maximum (level dependent)

Teen classes cater to swimmers of all levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced—allowing teens to swim alongside peers of similar age. This ensures engaging lessons tailored to their age, in lanes suited for their needs.

Your child will progress from learning to put their eyes in the water to refining all competitive and survival strokes. Completing the program and swimming year-round ensures your child becomes a confident and safer swimmer.

Upon reaching Level 8/Development Squad, students master all four competitive strokes. It’s recommended to continue until completing our Club’s Junior Squad to enhance stamina and additional skills. By the end, swimmers possess the necessary stamina, skills, and knowledge for various swimming environments, whether for competition or recreation.
